Walks around Seaside Lodge

There are a variety of lovely walks around Seaside Lodge, some along the unspolit Lincolnshire coastline, some inland over fields and by farmland, some are a mix of both. Discover, explore and enjoy the Lincolnshire Coastal Country Park during your stay. There are walks to suit everyone nearby, from a coastal amble, to a full scale assault on the rolling hills of the Lincolnshire Wolds nearby. Seaside Lodge is a great location to come home to after a day’s walking, whatever the time of year. Sit and have a well deserved cuppa by the lake at the bottom of the garden, or light the log stove and put your feet up with a glass of wine in the cooler months.

Coastal walks

Anderby Creek is in Lincolnshire’s Coastal Country Park, and one of the best ways to discover it is on foot. It’s a great area for level walks – and much of it is ideal for dog walkers. The Coastal Country Park circular routes use a combination of beach, sea wall and footpaths across working farmland.

Country Walks

Seaside Lodge is close to the edge of the Lincolnshire Wolds, an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty (AONB), and offering wonderful walking opportunities with countryside that is beautiful and unspoilt. With rolling hills and hidden valleys, gentle streams and nestling villages, The Lincolnshire Wolds is the highest land in the east of England between Kent and Yorkshire, with westward views to the Pennines and eastward views to the coast. There are some lovely villages to discover on the Wolds.

Lindsey Loop

96-mile long distance rroute linking the 6 market towns in East and West Lindsey: Market Rasen, Caistor, Louth, Alford, Spilsby and Horncastle border the Lincolnshire Wolds AONB. The route takes you through the rolling countryside of the Wolds and includes many obscure villages both undiscovered and unspoilt as well as a 60 foot wide Roman Road.

The Lincs Wolds Way

80 mile circular walk to taking in the best of the Wolds and keeps to the high ground whenever possible. Broken down into 5 stages, averaging 6 hours walking per day. Designed so that it can be completed in a week’s holiday with a day to relax at the end or at an intermittent point chosen by the walker. Or it can be walked over a longer period of time choosing the days to suit the season, weather or lifestyle.The walk starts and ends in Louth which is known as the ‘Gateway to the Wolds’ but can be started and ended at any point.
