Coarse fishing is popular in Lincolnshire and Seaside Lodge’s enclosed garden backs onto the bank of a quiet fishing lake, Longways, Lakeside. Longways has 10 fishing pegs which run along the eastern bank of the lake behind the beach at Anderby Creek. Seaside Lodge guests are welcome to fish the fully stocked lake from the fishing pegs, by arrangement with Mark, the owner who lives next door. The cost is £5 per day, pensioner £3 per day. For further infomation, call Longways on 01754 874344.
If a spot of beach fishing is more your thing, there are a choice of wide, sandy beaches within 2 miles of Seaside Lodge which are popular with anglers, including Moggs Eye and Chapel Six Marshes. Also nearby are several trout farms, near Alford and Louth.
