Voted one Britain’s 10 best hidden beaches according to AOL Travel, who say: “Anderby Creek beach is unspoilt, quiet and beautiful. The gorgeous stretch of soft sand is backed by dunes and is perfect for sandcastle building, bathing or just strolling”. The beach is a firm favourite with many local people, and folk from farther afield who fondly remember childhood holidays there. This peaceful, picturesque beach is fully open to dogs September-March. And, during March-September, dogs are still allowed on the beach within a specific area.
